Our Admission Specialists do everything possible to ensure that registering at Northern Louisiana Medical Center is simple and easy. We know how important your time is to you and that is why we coordinate our processes to be done in a friendly and time efficient manner. We want to make your time during the registration process pleasant and professional. The information that we ask you to provide is not only very important to the hospital but also very important to you. Our duty as Admission Specialists is to make sure that we obtain the correct information from you for your medical records and also for billing purposes. We ask that when you come to the hospital to please be sure and bring your medical insurance cards, method of payment (cash / check / credit card), picture I.D. and if available the order from your Physician. This information along with your personal demographic information (address and phone number, etc.) will help to ensure that your time during the registration process is friendly, prompt and efficient. You may also Pre-Register for your scheduled appointments by calling our Admissions Department, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 318-254-2562. We would like for you to pre-register after the ordering physician has scheduled your appointment with the hospital. Please be sure to remember that when calling to pre-register to have your medical insurance cards with you so that we can ensure that your claim will be billed to your insurance provider properly.
The following information will be needed for registration purposes whether it is for an ER, Outpatient or an Inpatient stay:
- Identification Cards
- Insurance Cards
- Social Security Number
- Other demographic information (address, phone number, etc.)
Please help us to make sure that your health plan provider has authorized your treatment and stay, it is also important that you have complied with other requirements they may have.
Northern Louisiana Medical Center will bill, as a courtesy, your insurance company for hospital services using the billing information on your insurance card. It is your responsibility to give accurate financial information and to have insurance cards or completed paperwork. We will need a copy of your insurance cards and may also need insurance forms or necessary authorizations, which are supplied by your employer or insurance company.
Business Office Services
We would be happy to discuss and provide an explanation of your bill(s). It is your right to examine and receive explanation of your bill regardless of payment source. Our patient representatives are available to answer your questions by phone or in person, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. They can be reached at 318-254-2100.

- Payments can be made for hospital services in the Business Office on Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Professional Services
Your hospital bill does not include fees for the professional services of your physician, surgeon, anesthesiologist, radiologist, pathologist, consulting physicians and emergency room physicians. You will receive separate billings for services provided by these specialists.
Valuables
Please leave all your valuables at home; the hospital is not responsible for the loss of any personal items including money left at the bedside. If you have valuables with you at admission, we encourage you to have them stored in the Business Office safe. Please ask your nurse for assistance.
Dentures, eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, and other personal items should be labeled and stored at your bedside.
The hospital cannot assume responsibility for items lost or damaged during your stay.
