Visiting Hours

General visiting hours for regular rooms at Northern Louisiana Medical Center are from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Intensive Care Unit allows visitation for immediate family and clergy, based on the patient's requests and condition, at the following times:

5:00AM - 5:30AM
9:30AM - 10:00AM
1:00PM - 1:30PM
5:00PM - 5:30PM
9:00PM - 9:30PM

Contacting a Patient

Patient rooms may be called by dialing 254 – 2 (+room number). Example: if your patient is in room 212, the patient room may be reached by dialing 254-2212.

A courtesy phone is available outside of the hospital cafeteria entrance. This phone is free of charge for all local calls.

Gift Shop

NLMC is pleased to offer an in-house Gift Shop for your needs. The Gift Shop is a wonderful place to purchase beautiful plants, candy baskets and gifts; as well as snacks, magazines and miscellaneous items you or your patient may need during your stay. The Gift Shop hours are from 9:00AM – 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.

Smoking Policy

NLMC has a no smoking policy. All smoking must be done outside of the hospital, at least 30 feet from the building. Smoking canopies are provided for your convenience at three locations: outside of the Emergency Room entrance, outside of the Intensive Care entrance and behind the hospital (north side) at the loading dock. The hospital will be going to a completely smoke free facility on November 18, 2010.
