|Breast Health |
Getting regular checkups and performing breast self-exams are two important ways to keep your breasts healthy.
|Breast Cancer Risk Assessment|
This short assessment will help you determine if you have major risk factors for breast cancer.
Digital technology greatly enhances our ability to detect abnormal growths even in the early stages of development. Computer-aided detection (CAD) software is also used as an additional support. It automatically detects abnormalities on an image, highlighting them for clinicians. This technology greatly reduces missed breast cancers. Our mammography department is accredited with the American College of Radiology ensuring that we meet the top standards of care.
Further information about Digital Mammography, including ways to prepare for the examination, can be obtained by calling Sheri Burns, NLMC Director of Radiology at 318-254-2461 or by logging on to http://www.radiologyinfo.org.
If you are a physician, in need of scheduling a patient, please call Central Scheduling at 318-254-2791.
