The ICU at Northern Louisiana Medical Center takes our commitment of providing comfort, care and compassion to another level. In this time of need for you or your loved ones, we are proud to be able to offer 17 private rooms, each of which is visible from the nursing desk. Nurse to patient ratio is 2 to 1 or 3 to 1, depending on the acuity of the patient.

All intensive care nurses are certified in ACLS and PALS. We service a wide geographic area around Ruston, that extends beyond the Lincoln parish borders.

ICU care at NLMC is frequently extended to patients suffering from acute heart attacks to trauma, from GI bleeds to post surgical care- and many things in between.  We offer a wide array of specialists for primary care consultations.
