Senior Circle is a program through Northern Louisiana Medical Center designed to enrich the lives of adult's ages 50 and better through health and wellness programs, social events, activities, travel and fellowship. In January of 2011 a quilting group was formed inside Senior Circle. This group became known as the Senior Circle Quilters for America's Heroes. The Quilters are Suzy Broussard, Dorothy Drost, Karen Humphrey, Julie Mohr, Donna Small and Mercedes Williams. Each year the Quilters cerate 12 heirlooms quilts to be presented to 12 local veterans around Veterans Day in November. 2015 will be the groups 5th year to present these hero quilts and after this year's ceremony they will have presented 60 quilts to 60 local veterans. We cannot think of a better way to "enrich a life" more, than by honoring a hero who has served our country to "enrich ours".
If you are a veteran or if you have a veteran you would like to nominate please click on the application form. Fill it out and return it to email@example.com.
